We first met as physics lab partners on Valentine’s Day in 2017 at the University of Michigan. What began as casual coffee breaks and study sessions soon turned into date nights around Ann Arbor—and eventually, a loving relationship that endured long distance.

Over the years, we’ve enjoyed exploring new cities, trying new restaurants, and supporting each other through medical school. Kenna returned to Ann Arbor in 2023 to begin residency training, and in 2024, Alex moved back for residency as well, bringing our relationship full circle to where it all began. In 2025, Alex proposed during a walk through our favorite spot in Ann Arbor—the Arboretum—an easy “yes!”
